The Conception

My wife Preethy had been using a IUD, as we already had a 3 year old son and wanted to wait until we decided for our second child. We always wanted to have a baby girl. We thought that we were very safe with a IUD in place and one day we got to know that my wife was expecting our second child, with the IUD.

We were surprised at the same time we were happy. We went to visit the consultant doctors, the doctors suggested that termination would be the best option as the IUD is sitting on top of the baby. She advised us about all the risk that were involved in continuing with the pregnancy.

We were sad & confused and didn't know what to do, We called up our relatives and friends and got mixed advise (i.e.) some said to terminate while the others said to trust in God.

Later I & Preethy decided that we will ask the doctor to try and remove the IUD and if she is able to do so, that will end all our problems.

Next day Preethy was in the labor room and the doctors were trying to remove the IUD but unfortunately they were unable to remove the IUD as it was sitting on top of the baby which meant to remove the baby first to reach the IUD, the doctors gave up and advised you have to continue with the pregnancy with the IUD..

We surrendered everything in God's hands and decided to keep the precious little baby that God has given us.... The regular checkups and medicines and everything started thereafter....
